Billboard Magazine names Popkick – A Musician’s New Best Friend

The world’s premier music publication, Billboard, has just named Popkick, a musical ‘artist’s new best friend…creat(ing) interesting photos that apps like Instagram currently don’t offer’ and perfect for music performance shots.

We are thrilled. Not only is Billboard the go-to place for anyone and everyone in the music industry but it’s also the primary source of information on trends and innovation in music. Why, you would ask, would a photo app care about being noticed by the music industry? It’s because from the very start, we thought Popkick would be the perfect app for making unique, really cool album covers, music promotions, posters, flyers, performance shots, and all music-related visuals – ‘POP’. Pop music and Popkick go hand in hand and while we knew this, we weren’t sure how long it would take for others to figure this out. But happily, Billboard caught on right away.

So thanks Billboard for the review, and to all you musicians, music fans, artists, promoters, publishers, digital entrepreneurs, and plain old photo and art enthusiasts, Popkick is the icing on the cake for material you want to give a fresh, pop-y take.

Check it out for yourself in the latest issue tucked between Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, and Miley Cyrus. And check out a quick before and after mockup we made below to see what we mean.
